Accessing the Irishmaps.ie through a proxy server
Some networks and online services use a what is called a proxy server for their internet access, to allow their users quicker web access by cacheing old copies of pages they have saved locally, rather than actually connecting you to the Internet. Technological limitations sometimes make it difficult for these users to use secure sites, we recommend that where possible you use a direct internet connection.

Is something blocking the cookie?
In order to use the Irishmaps.ie, you must have cookies turned on. If your browser is set to prevent cookies, it will also prevent you from using the Irishmaps.ie shopping facility. Please check your browser preferences to make sure that you can accept cookies.

The transaction keeps producing error messages.
This error is generally produced by some form of interference with the Internet cookie or some interruption in the Internet connection. Sometimes using the back button on your browser in the middle of your transaction can also confuse the server. Unfortunately this means the transaction process has been aborted and must be started again. Possible causes are varied, so do not be too concerned unless it happens repeatedly, should this be the case please contact Irishmaps.ie.

W330 and W331 transaction errors
These errors are generated from your Bank when in the WorldPay secure transaction part of the site.

Authorisation failed: (from bank) R [W330] Not Authorised errors are generated randomly for security reasons and to prevent fraudulent use of your card in card holder not present transactions, particularly where the card has been used many times.

Authorisation failed: (from bank) D [W331] Declined errors indicate you need to contact your Bank personally.

Other transaction errors
Authorisation failed: (from bank) Q Sorry: you cannot pay in EUR using a Switch card indicates you have not selected the correct payment currency on the WorldPay payment page (see below).

I went to lunch and when I came back the basket was empty.
This error occurs because the basket is set to empty if there is no activity on the site for over 20 minutes. This is for security reasons.

Using your Browser with SSL
Your Internet browser must be capable of using the SSL security protocol, used to protect your credit card information during Internet transactions. We recommend you use the latest versions of Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer, although you can still shop in Irishmaps.ie using versions 3 and above of both these browsers.

Internet Cookies
Some Internet privacy advocates have suggested that people use their browser options to block cookies. Also, some browsers and Internet service providers may not automatically allow cookies to be sent. Blocking cookies will prevent you from shopping in Irishmaps.ie.

Javascript
You will also need to have javascript enabled, as Irishmaps uses this in some parts of the site.
